About

Allen Voyager

As a mixed media artist, been working on my art for the last 27 years across a variety of forms and projects .
I started with pencils and have explored airbrushing, songwriting and the graphic arts of mixed medium including oils, gouache and finally watercolour as my dominant medium.  I primarily enjoyed illustration style work in my early years and worked on portraiture, landscapes and expressionism.

Drawing much inspiration from travel and meeting interesting people on my journeys I enjoy creating intuitive works that explore transformation, memory, and the unseen patterns woven through the human experience of consciousness .

My most important body of work was my journeys through South America and my experiences through the Amazon learning about the secret life of plants and spirituality and its connection to existence.
Through layered symbolism and organic forms, my practice invites reflection, connection, and quiet contemplation. As my practice evolves, commencing my chosen path to specialise in art psychotherapy and the support as a health practitioner in the community and be of service to empower people to connect to their heart.

Allen’s Story

My practice emerges at the intersection of the inner world, the natural world, and the cosmos. Through drawing, painting, and mixed media, I explore consciousness as a dynamic, ever-evolving landscape shaped by memory, vision, ritual, and dream. My work is guided by the language of sacred geometry, mandalas, and archetypal symbolism, through which I seek to reveal the underlying patterns that connect all existence.

Recurring motifs of spirals, vessels, serpents, celestial bodies, spirit animals, and cosmic portals reflect a continuous journey of transformation, death, rebirth, and renewal. These symbols act as gateways between dimensions: between the material and the spiritual, the personal and the universal, the seen and the unseen. In this way, each artwork becomes both a map and a meditation, a space where viewer and image meet in shared contemplation.

Nature, particularly Indigenous and plant-based knowledge systems, deeply informs my process and materials. I am interested in how land, culture, and spirituality intertwine, and how ancestral wisdom speaks through colour, form, and gesture. Works such as those inspired by my travels across the planet, the Amazon, and Shipibo cosmology honour the intelligence of the earth and its teachings on balance, reciprocity, and interconnectedness.

At the core of my practice is the idea that creation is cyclical and relational. The universe is in constant motion that is simultaneously building and dissolving, revealing and concealing. Through this lens, my creative processes reflect the impermanence of existence and the profound potential for healing, insight, and liberation that arises when one turns inward.
Ultimately, my work invites the viewer into a space of stillness and reflection, where perception softens, boundaries dissolve, and a deeper sense of unity can be felt. In this meeting between art and consciousness, the artwork becomes a living portal, a bridge between the human spirit and the infinite.
